Nini came to Society & Humanities already opinionated — what she was missing was the discipline to back an argument with evidence rather than just conviction.

The seminar format forced that: small discussion groups, faculty who pushed on weak points, and a research project that took her opinion and made her defend it against the strongest counter-case she could find.

She now works in a policy-adjacent role, and points to the program’s research and writing modules as the most directly useful thing she studied.
